BASED IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA · SERVING THE SOUTHWEST

THE SHIELD APPROACH

Field experience.
From the ground up.

Construction expertise that connects the building, its systems, and the people who use it.

Shield Construction serves government owners, commercial clients, and general contractors as both a general contractor and a subcontractor. Our experience spans military aviation facilities, hospital infrastructure, lodging renovations, and concrete and drainage improvements.

We combine hands-on trade work with scope review, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and contract administration. In occupied facilities, that means planning access, protecting existing work, coordinating utility interruptions, and sequencing each area through inspection and turnover.

WHAT WE DO

One coordinated effort.

From the building envelope
to the systems behind it.

01

Renovation & interiors

Selective demolition, framing, drywall, ceilings, flooring, painting, cabinetry, and doors. We coordinate the work from rough-in to final finishes, with phased turnover for lodging, workplaces, and occupied facilities.

Facility modernization / Tenant improvements / Finish carpentry

02

Electrical & lighting

New and modified wiring, electrical panels, branch circuits, devices, and interior and exterior lighting. Our experience connects building renovations with the power and controls needed to put those spaces to work.

Power distribution / LED lighting / Existing-system tie-ins

03

Mechanical & plumbing

HVAC, ventilation, water and sanitary piping, and plumbing fixture improvements coordinated with adjacent trades. We bring field crews and specialty contractors together around equipment access, installation sequencing, and testing.

HVAC / Ventilation / Water and sanitary systems

04

Communications infrastructure

Fiber-optic and communications wiring, data drops, pathways, and communications-room improvements. Our Bonham campus and military hangar experience combines low-voltage infrastructure with electrical and interior construction.

Fiber and data / Cable pathways / Communications rooms

05

Concrete & site work

Excavation, trenching, backfill, compaction, concrete replacement, and drainage improvements around existing facilities. Work is coordinated with underground services, adjacent structures, and restoration of disturbed areas.

Concrete / Drainage / Underground infrastructure

06

Federal project delivery

Experience with MCCS and military installation work, including access coordination, submittals, quality-control inspections, safety planning, certified payroll, and closeout. A clear line of responsibility connects the owner, field team, and trade partners.

MCCS / Installation access / Contract administration

FROM SCOPE TO TURNOVER

Accountability
at every step.

Our project approach connects field execution with the documentation owners and prime contractors need to make decisions and accept the work.

  • Plan the work before mobilization

Review scope boundaries, coordinate trades, track submittals and material lead times, and plan access and phased work areas.

  • Inspect throughout construction

Use preparatory, initial, and follow-up quality checks to set expectations, verify installation, and resolve deficiencies.

  • Keep safety and administration connected

Prepare activity hazard analyses, coordinate site safety requirements, and manage subcontractor records and certified payroll.

  • Deliver a complete turnover

Close punch-list items and assemble inspection records, as-built information, operation and maintenance documents, and warranties.
